Coping strategies and authentic leadership: nurses’ work in 2021 during the covid-19 pandemic

Abstract Objective to identify the correlation between Authentic Leadership dimensions and coping strategies used by nurses during pandemic. Methods this is a qualitative study, with descriptive approach, carried out 34 working in four hospitals Curitiba. Data were collected from July September 2021 online, using Lazarus Folkman Coping Strategies Inventory Questionnaire. analysis was through domain scores of each instrument according Brazilian validation. Results it noted that Balanced Processing Self-Awareness Dimensions present moderate positive Accepting Responsibility, Seeking Social Support, Problem-Solving Positive Reappraisal variables, latter variable presenting Internalized Moral Perspective dimension, not observes Relational Transparency dimension strategy variables. Conclusion implications for practice study demonstrates identified correlations encourage team circumstances exhaustion, promoting balanced cognitive behavior conduct services. It observed nursing area allows team’s engagement, credibility self-development.
